Babatel Terms and Conditions

The following Terms and Conditions apply to Babatel provider of long distance products and services and sets out the basic rights, obligations and limitations of Babatel to its User (s). All of the terms and conditions contained herein bind both Babatel and the User and are subject to change from time to time at the sole discretion of Babatel.

Customer (s) agree that all of the confidential information including but not limited to customer’s name, email address, contact number and call detail contained in this website is and shall continue to be the exclusive property of Babatel. In order to use and benefit from the Hello Bolo long distance service and its features your caller ID must be registered. 

Babatel privacy policy affirms its Customer (s) commitment of maintaining confidentiality, security, accuracy and privacy of Customer (s) personal information that Babatel collects and uses to provide telecommunications services. Please see our Privacy Policy link for further information.

The information and services included in may include inaccuracies or typo graphical errors. Changes are periodically made to the product or services and to the Terms and Conditions.

Customer (s) will indemnify and hold Babatel and its employees, affiliates, representatives and other agents harmless from any & all claims, damages, and expenses (including, without limitation, all legal fees, costs and damages) that relate directly or indirectly to the development, service, operation, maintenance, and contents of website.

Customers (s) agree to comply with all of the obligations stated in this Agreement. Customers (s) further agree to abide by Babatel’s Rules of User agreement, including but not limited to, agreeing not to use the Website for any unlawful purpose.

Customer (s) shall not use, distribute to, or otherwise disseminate through material or information of any kind that is libelous, defamatory, obscene, abusive, or otherwise violates any law or infringes or violates any rights of any other person, entity or goods and services.

Babatel reserves the right to change or amend the Term and Conditions or policies regarding the use of the products or services at any time and to notify Customer (s) by posting an updated version of the Term and Conditions on this Web site. The amended Terms and Conditions shall be effective immediately upon posting.

In addition, Customer (s) acknowledges and agrees that Customer (s) is responsible for taking the necessary steps and precautions to protect its network, software, data, files, devices and equipment against unauthorized access by employees and outsiders, and that responsibility includes, without limitation, protection against unauthorized access through product and services. Babatel will not be liable for any claims, losses, actions, damages, suits or proceedings resulting or otherwise relating to Customer (s) failure to take appropriate precautions to protect its networks and systems and all software, data, files equipment and material, or against any breach of Customer (s) security or privacy whatsoever caused.


Communication with Customer

Your online sign up and subsequent activation of Hello Bolo Account constitutes your full acceptance and your agreement to allow Babatel to communicate with you (Subscriber, Customer, User) by phone, text or email. YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT BABATEL MAY CONTACT YOU BY EITHER TELEPHONE, IN WRITING VIA EMAIL OR VIA TEXT MESSAGE. You may withdraw your consent to receive phone call, text message or email from Babatel at any time by notifying Babatel by email to



Rates are subject to change without prior notice at sole discretion of Babatel and are subject to applicable HST. HST is excluded from Announced minutes. Rates posted on this website and posters are for new customers only. 



Bonus is a promotional offer for a limited time only. Bonus amount and or percentage are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice at sole discretion of Babatel. In order to eliminate confusion or error relating to a bonus payment, a claim should be made by registered customer via email at within 7 days from the date of payment.

The Free Trial Offer

The (100 free) long distance minutes which is equivalent of $1 applies to new customers calling to countries with low rate of one cent per minute only, and while a promotional offer is in effect. This offer is limited to online customer’s sign up and cannot be combined with any other promotional offer.


Payment Through Bank

Payment Through Bank is a safe, secure and convenient way of making Payments by using the online banking, personal banking or telephone banking. Babatel accepts Payments from major Canadian banks such as BMO, TD, CIBC, RBC, Scotia Bank, Tangerine, Credit Union and National Bank. Depending on customer’s Bank, payments will be processed and credited to individual accounts within one business day. Bonus amount will apply to payments of minimum $5 or more while promotional offer is in effect, and for maximum $10 per calendar month.



Threshold is the minimum amount set up in a long distance account to get recharged pre-selected amount using a preauthorized credit card (Visa or Master Card), once the account balance reaches the minimum threshold amount or less. For a limited time transactions of $20 or more will earn 5% bonus. Limit of single transaction per 24 hour period apply. During maintenance work from time to time by Babatel or due to power or internet outage this service may not be available. Babatel, its affiliates, agents, resellers and employees will not be held responsible if service is unavailable for any reason, for any length of time and howsoever it is caused.



Self-Recharge is a reliable and convenient tool designed to foster customer experience recharging long distance account using credit card (Visa, Master Card) 24/7 by calling Toronto customer service number 416-848-0117 only. This service is not available using Toll Free service or the local access number. For a limited time transactions of $10 and $20 will earn 10% bonus. Limit of $20 transactions per 24 hour period apply. During maintenance work from time to time by Babatel or due to power or internet outage this service may not be available. Babatel, its affiliates, agents, resellers and employees will not be held responsible if service is unavailable for any reason, for any length of time and howsoever it is caused.


Account Freezing

If an account is not used/replenished for a period of 6 months or more the account status will be changed from active to frozen without prior notice. If the frozen account is not reinstated by customer calling customer service within 6 months of being frozen, the account will be considered to become permanently deactivated. Babatel, its agents, resellers, distributors, affiliates and its employees, will not be held responsible for the loss of credit due to such account deactivation.


Hello Bolo vouchers validation

All prepaid vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase. For any inquiry related to voucher validation please contact customer service.



Babatel makes no express or implied warranties or representations with respect to this Agreement including, without limitation, warranties of fitness, merchantability, non-infringement, or any implied warranties arising out of a course of performance, dealing, or trade usage. Babatel also makes no representation that the operation of the website will be uninterrupted or error-free. Babatel will not be liable for the consequences of any interruptions or errors.

Babatel may modify the terms and conditions contained in this Agreement at any time at its sole discretion. Babatel will inform Customer (s) of all modifications either verbally or by posting on website. Customer (s) continued use of Babatel service (s) via this Agreement following Babatel’s notice of any modification will constitute binding acceptance of said modification(s) by Customer (s).

Customer (s) further agrees to protect the interest of Babatel, its products and services from any harm howsoever caused. Customer (s) is responsible to keep checking the website from time to time to review the updated information posted on the website.

If Customer (s) does not comply with this agreement or violates this agreement in full or in part, directly or indirectly, Babatel reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel and terminate access to all or part of the Babatel websites with or without prior notice.


Opportunity to Review and Legal Representation

Customer (s) hereby warrants and acknowledges that it has received sufficient opportunity to review this Agreement prior to its execution, and Customer (s) has read and reviewed it to its full satisfaction. Unless otherwise specified herein, this agreement constitutes the entire agreement between Customer (s) and Babatel with respect to the Website and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals (whether oral, written, or electronic) between Customer (s) and Babatel with respect to the Website.
